About

Afra Ahmed Öztürk (1992; Istanbul, Turkey) is an architect, designer, and artist.

Her architectural education paved the way for experimental art-making and allowed her to explore creative methods. Throughout her academic journey, she had access to various materials and techniques, which laid the foundation for her artistic practice. Even before graduating, she began working at several architecture studios and went on to work professionally in the field for about three years. In 2019, she became a co-founder of a painting studio, and in 2021, she left to pursue her own artistic practice under her own name.

Her studio now focuses on themes such as light and reflection, form-making, and permeable and fluid forms.

Afra Ahmed Art Studio is a dynamic and creative space dedicated to contemporary art. Constantly fueled by new ideas, the studio produces paintings in various forms and scales, driven by a spirit of exploration. With a team of next-generation artists, the studio not only focuses on creating original works but also hosts workshops aimed at bringing more people into the world of art. These workshops invite individuals to experience their first brushstrokes and engage in the creative process.

With aspirations to participate in international exhibitions and become part of leading museum collections, the studio continues to work with excitement and vision for the future.
